On November 29 the Minister of Health announced new covid-19 related restrictions which will be introduced in Poland starting on Wednesday, December 1 until December 17.
The new regulations include:
- ban flights to seven African countries (Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe) – people returning from those countries will be placed in a 14-day quarantine, without an option of being lifted after negative test results.
- people coming to Poland from outside of the Schengen zone will be placed in a 14-day quarantine (with an option of being released after 8 days only if having a negative test result).
- restrictions on the number of people allowed in places like restaurants, theatres, cinemas, hotels, churches, swimming pools, aquaparks, reducing the limit to 50% of full capacity (not counting people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19).
- in gyms and fitness clubs – the limit is 1 person per 15 square meters
- indoor events, including weddings and discos, will be allowed to a maximum of 100 guests
