The Ministry of Science and Higher Education chooses Collegium Civitas experts to participate in “Act 2.0”, a project to elaborate new law on higher education

During a press conference, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin and the head of the evaluation commission Prof. Tomasz Dietl revealed three teams from the 15 competing, who, according to the commission, presented the best proposals.

Each team will prepare guidelines for the new law. Their work will be of fundamental importance in the development of Polish science in the future.

The winners represent three different scientific milieux: one team is affiliated with a non-public university, the second at a public university, and the third constitutes an entity acting on behalf of science.  The work produced by the selected teams must be completed by January 2017, resulting in three alternative proposals for the new law. They will be the starting point for a year-long series of conferences in 2017 culminating in the National Congress of Science. In the course of these debates the bill will take its final shape before being sent to the legislature; it is set to become law in time for the 2018/2019 academic year. One of the teams will comprise experts from Collegium Civitas headed by Prof. Hubert Izdebski.

Its members constitute an interdisciplinary team:
