The International Association of Universities invites to the webinar “Towards a more sustainable future: what can HE Leadership do to get there?” with Vice-Rector Dr. Dr. Roland Zarzycki as one of the expert speakers.
When: March 29, 2022, 13:30-15:00 CET.
Following contribution by Dr Dr Roland Zarzycki to the recent issue of IAU Horizons on Leadership for a Sustainable Future, he was invited to share his insights at the virtual event jointly organized by the International Association of Universities (IAU) and Higher Education Teaching & Learning Association (HETL). This event will bring together leaders and experts from higher education to discuss different strategies and approaches taken by HEIs around the world. 2022 is a critical year for higher education and Agenda 2030, including the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With the world facing various crises bringing a multitude of challenges and opportunities, universities have a leading role to play in this global endeavour to implement the SDGs. Through education, research, campus initiatives, community engagement activities and campaigns at a local, national, regional and global level, universities are the key to healthier, greener, fairer, and more inclusive societies.
After short presentations by the experts on the panel (5 min each), the session will engage in a discussion with all panelists, including questions from the audience.
