In November Dr Magdalena El Ghamari and Dr Marek Troszyński, Collegium Civitas presented the results of their research in the project “Migrants. Analysis of media discourse on migrants” at two seminars in Kosovo and Albania.
Project “Migrants. Analysis of media discourse on migrants in Poland, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Albania and the Czech Republic (MAD)” is aimed at comparing media discourses on migrants in 5 countries: Poland, Great Britain, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Albania. In each of these countries, media monitoring and analysis of media content (television, press, Internet) relating to migration and migrants were carried out.
The results of the research have been presented by Dr Magdalena El Ghamari and Dr Marek Troszyński from Collegium Civitas and members of the international research team during two scientific seminars held in Tirana (November, 15) and Prishtina (November, 17). During the seminars participants discussed the causes of migration to countries where the research was carried out. Among the participants were scientists, students and representatives of non-governmental organizations from Albania and Kosovo.
