Collegium Civitas is pleased to invite all students and faculty members to an engaging guest lecture by Dr. Bożena Leven, an esteemed economist with extensive expertise in international trade and economic development. The lecture will take place on May 15 at 3 PM in Lecture Hall A.

Dr. Leven will explore the economic implications of the evolving U.S. political landscape in 2025, discussing key policy changes, their expected impact on domestic and global markets, and the broader economic outlook.

About the Speaker

Bozena Leven graduated from the Central School of Planning and Statistics, Warsaw, Poland with an M.A. in Economics (specializing in International Trade) and was awarded a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University. Her primary areas of expertise include International Economics and Economics of Development. She has interspersed her academic duties with consulting at the Ford Foundation, the International Affairs Division at the United Nations, the World Bank, and the East European Program at the William Davidson Institute of the University of Michigan.  She has served as an Interim Dean of the School of Business at the College of New Jersey, USA, Chair of Economics Department, Visiting Professor of International Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics (from which she received habilitation), and the Executive Director of the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America in New York (PIASA).
