This bachelor’s degree programme is for everybody who wants to discover the tools of communication in the world of new technologies and digital media.
The degrees in New Media and Journalism offers diverse opportunities for career development in the media industry and PR. Students hone their journalistic skills, edit texts, create multimedia materials and learn about editorial work from the inside. We educate high-class specialists in diverse fields: reportage, image and sound editing; Internet journalism; Internet marketing; persuasive strategies; e-commerce; and strategic planning.
The programme is taught at Collegium Civitas – in Warsaw, the dynamic capital of Poland. Collegium Civitas refocuses from academia’s traditional theory to applied learning in a laboratory simulated high-technology social and business environment.
During your studies, you will have the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice, amongst others by editing nationwide newspapers and weeklies, by working in television and radio, and by working in the lifestyle magazine, film and sports editorial teams. As a result of practical workshops, you will acquire skills that will be appreciated by your future employers.
The programme has been created and is taught by a faculty who are leaders in their respective fields and who are still actively working as journalists and editors for world-renown media outlets that, among others, include The New York Times, BBC, Forbes, Associated Press, Guardian, The Washington Post, Le Monde, Newsweek and others.
