Economy after Covid-19. Focus on Europe & Central Asia

On May 12 the online seminar “Economy after Covid-19” will be held with participation of leading experts from two renowned universities: Suleyman Demirel University from Kazakhstan and Collegium Civitas from Poland. During the seminar Prof. Yessengali Oskenbayev and Prof. David Kalisz will present the topic from the European, Central Asian as well as global perspective. The event starts at 1 PM CET (Warsaw time) and 5 PM Kazakhstan time.

How will the new normal look like? How long will it take for the economy to recover? What are the main challenges we have to face?  Our experts will share their knowledge and discuss the possible scenarios for the global economy.

Yessengali Oskenbayev is a Research Professor at Business School, Suleyman Demirel University. He completed his Ph.D. in Center for Development Research in Bonn (Germany) in 2015. He is also a Professor of the Post-Graduate School at Narxoz Business School. He was Chair of Finance Department in 2014-2015 and Dean of Business School at Suleyman Demirel University in 2015-2017. He was Head of Academics Global Business School in Barcelona in the current academic year under the exchange program 2018-2019. His research areas are the natural resource curse problem and economic development.

David E. Kalisz is an  Associate Professor and Head of Management Department at Paris School of Business (France) and Lecturer and Head of International Business specialisation, Collegium Civitas, Doctor of economics in the discipline of management sciences. Dr Kalisz is an expert in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight and scenario Planning. He is  a Certified Foresight Practitioner (IFTF), member of Association of Professional Futurists and International Institute of Forecasters. He teaches Megatrends and Understanding Future, and also courses designed to deeper test and explore the long-term impact on industries and society.

The seminar “Economy after covid” will include two mini lectures of approx. 30 minutes followed by a Q& A session. The event is organized by partner universities: Suleyman Demirel University, Kazakhstan and Collegium Civitas, Poland.  The partners join forces to deliver not only the online event but also offer the state of the art double master’s degree program in International Business and Negotiations.
