The Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (CES) at Harvard University invites applications for the 2023-2024 Visiting Scholars Program. CES is also accepting applications for the German Kennedy Memorial Fellowship, which is designed for EU citizens from countries other than Germany. The application deadline for both programs is December 9, 2022.
The Visiting Scholars Program at CES offers postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to spend up to one academic year at Harvard for independent research on modern Europe. The program admits scholars on a competitive basis for a period of at least three months and up to one academic year.
Candidates are expected to self-fund through a sabbatical salary or external grants. Eligible candidates may also apply to the German Kennedy Memorial Fellowship.
The German Kennedy Memorial Fellowship provides eligible EU citizens from countries other than Germany a stipend of $65,000 for a ten-month stay in the CES Visiting Scholars Program. The Fellowship’s goal is to support an EU scholar of exceptional promise and demonstrated achievement, who intends to pursue an academic career in Europe.
