The International Day Against Racial Discrimination and European Action Week Against Racism

17th March marks the International Day Against Racial Discrimination and European Action Week Against Racism which is taking place from 14 to 22 March.
The main aim is promoting greater respect and trust among different groups within society.
Across the world people will stand up to say NO to racism and take part in various activities such as, exhibitions, public debates, concerts and many more.
Fundacja Afryka Connect and Collegium Civitas are organizing a Conference on the prevention of Racism, Xenophobia and Hate Crime.
We will discuss most current challenges and perspectives regarding their prevention given the prevalence of and contemporary challenges in combating racism, hate crime and xenophobia in the country.
We will consider how media, including the Internet, be used to promote tolerance and combat the prejudice, ignorance and misunderstanding that contribute to racism, xenophobia, discrimination, anti-Semitism and other forms of intolerance?
This event will also provide a space to discuss awareness-raising initiatives in public discourse aimed at combating hate crimes, racism and xenophobia.
The conference is open to everyone.
