Prof. Eyal Zisser is the Dean of the faculty of Humanities at Tel Aviv University and the holder of The Yona and Dina Ettinger Chair in Contemporary History of the Middle East. He was the Director of the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies 2007-2010, and the Head of the Department of Middle Eastern and African History. Prof. Zisser wrote extensively on the history and the modern politics of Syria and Lebanon and the Arab-Israeli conflict.
