Join the inaugural event of the Seminar on Democracy: Past, Present, and Future, chaired by Grzegorz Ekiert and Daniel Ziblatt and organized by Center for European Studies, Harvard. The event takes place on-line on November 19, 12:00-1:30 pm EST. Collegium Civitas – Centre for Studies of Democracy, Civil Society and Political Elites is one of the partners of the event.
This series will explore what lessons can be learned from historical and contemporary cases of democratic breakthrough and backsliding, ranging from Weimar Germany’s spectacular collapse in the 1930s to post-communist Hungary and Poland.
