Call for Applications: Peace Education and Action for Impact (PEAI) Program

Today, there are more young people on the planet than ever before. Of the 7.3 billion people globally, 1.8 billion are between the ages of 10 and 24. This generation is not only the largest and fastest-growing, but also the most critical in shaping a just, peaceful, and sustainable future.

Yet, despite their passion and energy, too many young people remain excluded from decision-making on peace and security, even when these decisions directly impact their lives. In response, World BEYOND War, in collaboration with the Rotary Action Group for Peace, created the Peace Education and Action for Impact (PEAI) program: a unique initiative that bridges the gap between studying peace and practicing peacebuilding.

We are now recruiting 10 youth (ages 18–35) to join the 2025 PEAI cohort—a transformative, action-driven experience that equips the next generation of changemakers. This time the call is only open to Polish Youth living in Poland.

Program overview:
PEAI is a 14-week global peacebuilding and leadership program grounded in youth-led, intergenerational, and cross-cultural learning, dialogue, and action. Since 2021, it has engaged youth, communities, and organizations across 19 countries and five continents.

Program components:

  • 6 weeks of online peace education
  • 8 weeks of community-based peace action
  • Focus on the “Knowing, Being, and Doing” of peacebuilding

What you’ll gain:

  • Leadership development
  • Global networks and collaboration
  • Real-world peacebuilding experience
  • Contribution to the Youth, Peace & Security and Sustaining Peace agendas

Eligibility:

  • Age: 18–35
  • Committed to peace, justice, and inclusive leadership
  • Available for the full 14-week program
  • Proficiency in English

If you’re interested in participating, please send a brief written summary (no more than 300 words) that includes:

  • Why you would like to participate
  • A confirmation that you can fully commit to all components of the 14-week program
  • What unique contribution you believe you can make to the program
