On September 19th, Collegium Civitas had the honor of hosting the 48th European Students’ Convention, an event organized by the European Students’ Union (ESU) and the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland. This prestigious conference, returning to Poland after an eight-year hiatus, began on Thursday and continued through Sunday, September 22nd.
The opening ceremony was led by the Minister of Science, Dariusz Wieczorek, alongside Collegium Civitas Rector, Professor Stanisław Mocek, and Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Paweł Maranowski. Keynote addresses were delivered by Iris Kimizoglu, Chairperson of the ESU, and Kewin Lewicki, Chairperson of the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland. Their speeches highlighted critical topics such as inclusivity, international collaboration, and the importance of history and memory—particularly resonant in Warsaw, a city with a rich historical legacy.
This year’s convention centered around the theme “AI and Digitalization in Higher Education”, bringing together representatives from 44 student organizations across 40 countries to discuss the future of higher education. Over four days, participants engaged in dynamic debates and discussions, which generated valuable insights and perspectives on the challenges of modern education.
We are delighted to have hosted such an important event for the global student community at Collegium Civitas!
