
Dr. Katarzyna Maniszewska, a lecturer at Civitas University and long-time Vice-Rector for International Relations at our university, has been awarded the prestigious research scholarship Fulbright-NATO Security Studies Award 2025.
Dr. Maniszewska will conduct research at George Washington University in the winter semester of 2025/26, at the leading research center – Program on Extremism. Her project “Eternal Vigilance. Countering State-Sponsored Radicalization” is devoted to countering state-sponsored radicalization.
Dr. Maniszewska, who is also an expert on the EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalization, in her research work looks for the most effective practices for countering radicalization, paying attention to, among others, the role of education and building social resilience.
The Fulbright-NATO grant competition was open to researchers with at least a doctoral degree from all NATO countries (excluding the USA), and the Fulbright Commission in Brussels was administering the recruitment procedure.
