We are pleased to announce that the Collegium Civitas Institute for Management Research is launching a new research project for the 2024/2025 academic year, led by Prof. Michał Szostak. The project, titled “Aesthetics of Humanistic Management in the Artificial Intelligence Era,” will explore the ethical and aesthetic implications of AI in organizational settings. It aims to develop interdisciplinary frameworks to ensure that AI is used in ways that are not only efficient but also ethically responsible and aligned with human values.

Project overview

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly transformed various sectors of society, influencing everything from personalized marketing to healthcare innovations. As AI continues to reshape organizational structures and customer experiences, critical reflection on its impact on human values, ethics, and dignity becomes increasingly necessary. This project will address how AI can be managed ethically, with respect for human dignity, and in a way that integrates aesthetic appreciation into decision-making processes.

Humanistic Management and Management Aesthetics offer frameworks for ensuring that AI-driven organizational practices prioritize efficiency and uphold ethical responsibility and empathy, enhancing the overall human experience.

Research focus

The project aims to develop an interdisciplinary framework that tackles essential questions related to the ethical and aesthetic dimensions of AI in organizational settings. It will examine how Humanistic Management and Management Aesthetics can contribute to creating organizational environments that are both functionally effective and aesthetically enriching.

Expected outcomes

The research will culminate in the publication of two edited monographs by leading international academic publishers. These works will contribute to the global discourse on the ethical and aesthetic integration of AI in management practices, highlighting the need for a human-centered approach that balances technological advancement with empathy and respect for human dignity.
