We are proud to share that Prof. Michał Komar, screenwriter, film critic, and lecturer at Collegium Civitas, has been awarded the Gold Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Polish culture, particularly in the fields of film and literature.

The award ceremony took place on March 14, 2025, at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Deputy Secretary of State Sławomir Rogowski presented the medals on behalf of Minister Hanna Wróblewska.

Alongside Professor Komar, the Gold Medal was also awarded to Rafał Skąpski, President of the Polish Book Publishers Association, a distinguished publisher and long-time contributor to the promotion of literature. During the same ceremony, acclaimed film director, screenwriter, and producer Małgorzata Szumowska received the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis, originally awarded to her in 2015.
