From February 3–7, 2025, Prof. Bohdan Szklarski, lecturer at Collegium Civitas, participated in an enriching Erasmus+ exchange at Süleyman Demirel University (SDU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan. During his visit, Prof. Szklarski delivered four lectures on various aspects of United States politics—a subject chosen by SDU in alignment with their academic interests. His sessions provided valuable insights into contemporary political dynamics and spurred robust discussions. In addition to his classroom presentations, Prof. Szklarski held several meetings with university authorities to discuss strengthening cooperation between SDU and Collegium Civitas and to explore opportunities for collaborative research projects, including joint conferences and co-authored publications.
A highlight of the visit was the genuine interest and active participation of the SDU community. Beyond the formal sessions, many students stayed after class for informal discussions, further cementing the foundation for ongoing academic exchange and collaboration.
Established in 1996, Süleyman Demirel University is an international, private university offering 61 educational programs across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. Its collaboration with 70 universities worldwide—through Erasmus+ programme and other mobility programs—underscores its commitment to fostering international academic networks.
Prof. Szklarski’s visit not only showcased his expertise in American politics but also underscored the strong potential for deeper academic and research ties between SDU and Collegium Civitas, paving the way for future collaborative initiatives.
