Representatives of Civitas University in the EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation

In April 2025 Prof. Rafał Pankowski and Dr Katarzyna Maniszewska took part in the meetings of the EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation in Brussels. We are happy and proud that two members of our academic community were appointed by the European Commission to participate in the works of the EU Knowledge Hub.
The EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation brings together practitioners, policymakers and researchers working on prevention across Europe and in priority third countries. The creation of the Hub is outlined in the EU Counter-Terrorism Agenda 2020. The EU Knowledge Hub supports the development and implementation of policies and strategies based on shared knowledge and expertise. It fosters collaboration among stakeholders to address the challenges of radicalisation, emphasising an integrated, policy-driven approach and a whole-of-society perspective.
Prof. Pankowski’s extensive experience in sociology, particularly in researching racism and extreme nationalism, has earned him international recognition. Previously, he served as a consultant in the Tolerance and Non-Discrimination Department of the OSCE and collaborated with prestigious organizations like the Royal Institute of International Affairs (commonly known as Chatham House) in London and the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna.
