Event Date: 2019-12-05

We cordially invite you to a meeting with Dariusz Sirko, a graduate of Collegium Civitas, ambassador of the European Solidarity Corps and an author of the unique book “Pocket History of Poland”.

The meeting will be devoted to the opportunities offered by participation in European Voluntary Service (EVS) and other mobility programs financed by European Union funds. You can expect lots of practical information on how to become a participant of the program, what documents must be submitted and what awaits volunteers in the place of their destination. Our guest will present you with all the essential information and more.

Dariusz Sirko participated in the yearly volunteer program in Portugal in 2017. It was EVS, countless meetings with foreigners and cultural exchange initiatives that were the stimulus to write his “Pocket History of Poland”. Why did he decide to write it and why the plain and light-hearted language of the book was used? To these and other questions he will answer in his own person.

The meeting will take place on International Volunteer Day, December 5 (Thursday) at 1pm in room 1222 on the 12th floor of the Palace of Culture and Science.

The meeting will be conducted in English. Information materials will be available on spot.
