Security and Society Summer School - Online 2021

Security and Society Summer School is run by Collegium Civitas in cooperation with SRAS (USA). The 2021 edition will be held online between June 7 and July 16. The summer school combines the course "Central Europe & Security Issues" with a research internship with the Terrorism Research Center. The application deadline is June 1.

Economy after Covid-19. Focus on Europe & Central Asia

On May 12 the online seminar “Economy after Covid-19” will be held with participation of leading experts from two renowned universities: Suleyman Demirel University from Kazakhstan and Collegium Civitas from Poland. During the seminar Prof. Yessengali Oskenbayev and Prof. David Kalisz will present the topic from the European, Central Asian as well as global perspective.

Climate Change, Energy, and Sustainability in the Pacific Region

Dr Agnieszka Nitza-Makowska, Collegium Civitas lecturer, supervisor of International Relations and Asian Studies will present the results of her research at the conference devoted to climate change, hosted by the German Institute for Japanese Studies, Tokyo. We invite you to participate in the conference held online between April 19 and 22.

Information Day of the Polish Erasmus+ National Agency (FRSE Foundation) officially introducing the new financial perspective 2021-2027 for the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs as well as educational initiatives managed by the FRSE. April 15, 2021, 9:30 A.M.

This year the Easter break takes place between April 1 (Thursday) and April 7 (Wednesday). Remember: there are no classes during the break :)

Perspectives on CEE

The next online session in the series “Perspectives on CEE” will be held on Saturday, April 3. It will be devoted to the state of democracy in Central & Eastern Europe. The project is organized by Collegium Civitas and SRAS (USA) and promotes our study abroad and summer school courses.

Symposium: Current Trends in Contemporary Peace Research

The symposium will be attended by peace researchers who will share their experiences on current trends in peace research and challenges in the field. The symposium will take place on March 17, at 1 PM (CET).

Seminar: Populism After Trump

Join the seminar “Populism After Trump” organized in the series “Democracy: Past, Present, and Future” by Center for European Studies, Harvard. International students, coming from our partner universities who would like to spend the spring semester under the Erasmus+ programme studying at Collegium Civitas should apply by December 13.

The Life and Work of Zygmunt Bauman

On December 2 at 13 CET the on-line seminar "The Life and Work of Zygmunt Bauman: Izabela Wagner and Jack Palmer in conversation" will be held. The event is organised by the BSA Theory Study Group and the Bauman Institute. The event is free but registration is required.
