Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Poland in cooperation with the Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw invite you to the conference “Polish Reserach on Indonesia: In Tribute to Dr. Janusz Kamocki”.

The conference will be held on 21 and 22 January 2023 under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Poland. The theme of the conference focuses on Polish research on Indonesia. Polish specialists representing various disciplines and research centers will present during the meeting. We will hear, among others, papers on writing traditions in Indonesia, social problems and Polish Indonesian collections.

The conference is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Janusz Kamocki – an ethnographer and museologist who died in 2021. One of the first Polish researchers of Indonesian culture and art and a great lover of this country. His activities contributed to the founding of the Asia and Pacific Museum.

Entrance for listeners is free. The conference will be held in Polish.
