Political and Social Dimensions of Sports Activity in Poland”

The conference will provide an opportunity to discuss the relationships between the world of politics and the world of sport in Poland — both from historical and contemporary perspectives.
It will serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences among scholars, PhD students, and practitioners interested in the political, historical, and social contexts of sport, as well as in the social consequences of sport functioning within party and institutional structures.

Please note:
The conference will be held exclusively in Polish.

However, Sport and Policy Journal — a quarterly co-published by Civitas University — welcomes English-language article submissions for the post conference issue. The journal provides an international platform for interdisciplinary research on the intersection of sport, politics, and society.

Thematic areas include:
• The role of political parties in the development and financing of sport
• Sport as a tool of propaganda and political promotion
• Sports organizations and party structures – examples from the past and present
• The impact of politics on sports careers and physical education
• Sport and the promotion of physical activity in local and regional policies
• Comparative studies on sport–politics relations in Poland and abroad
• Building national security through physical education
• Sports issues within uniformed services
• Other topics related to the conference theme
