On November 9th 2023, Adam Konopka, a lecturer and member of the Institute of Sociology at Collegium Civitas, defended cum laude his doctoral thesis in the field of linguistics at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Gdańsk.

The dissertation, titled “Wokół regulacji urodzeń w PRL-u. Analiza w oparciu o podejście dyskursywno-historyczne” (Birth regulations in the Polish People’s Republic: an analysis based on a discourse-historical approach), was prepared under the supervision of Prof. Dorota Rancew-Sikora from the University of Gdańsk. The dissertation was reviewed by Prof. Magdalena Steciąg from the University of Zielona Góra and Prof. Tomasz Piekot from the University of Wrocław.
