Full-time academic employees involved in research and teaching activities whose interests focus on the scientific disciplines most frequently represented at the university are gathered at two institutes in Collegium Civitas: Edmund Wnuk-Lipiński Institute of Sociology and Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations.

Members of the institutes take part in various research and dissemination initiatives: they participate in national and international scientific projects, publish research results in prestigious journals and books in renowned publishing houses, as well as take part in conferences and seminars. Furthermore, they carry out expert activities, conducting applied research and cooperating with specialists and scientists from numerous research centers operating within the structures of Collegium Civitas.
