Anna Kuczyńska Defends Doctoral Dissertation at University of Warsaw

We are pleased to announce that on October 13, 2023, Anna Kuczyńska, a distinguished lecturer and member of the Institute of Sociology at Collegium Civitas, defended her doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Sociology, University of Warsaw.

Her dissertation, titled “Społeczeństwo informacyjne a cyfrowe wykluczenie osób 50+ w Polsce” (“Information Society and Digital Exclusion of Individuals 50+ in Poland”), was prepared under the expert guidance of Professor Jerzy Bartkowski.

Dr. Kuczyńska is a graduate of the master’s program in Sociology at the University of Warsaw. She has further honed her skills at the Polish School of Reportage, affiliated with the Institute of Reportage, and currently collaborates with Res Publica Nova and Visegrad Insight. Driven by a commitment to scholarly pursuits, she has conducted research for eminent cultural institutions, including the Zachęta National Gallery of Art, the Copernicus Science Centre, and the Museum of Municipal Engineering. Her research methodologies encompass both quantitative and qualitative approaches.

Dr. Anna Kuczyńska’s scholarly focus revolves around the societal implications of the Internet and emerging technologies, coupled with an interest in refining the methodology of social research. In her professional work, she integrates experiences gleaned from the realms of academia, social initiatives, and commercial projects.
