Collegium Civitas is proud to announce its partnership with the II International Counterterrorism Congress, which will be held on April 9-10, 2024, at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. This year’s Congress, titled “Antiterrorism and counterterrorism activities. In search of best practices”, will bring together global experts, including representatives from NATO structures, international security organizations, and government officials at both national and local levels.
The list of speakers includes Professor Tomasz Aleksandrowicz, the Head of the Information Warfare Research Laboratory at the Center for Research on Social and Economic Risks at Collegium Civitas, Professor Kuba Jałoszyński, lecturer at the Policy Academy in Szczytno and member of the Terrorism Research Center Scientific Council, and Dr. Katarzyna Maniszewska, an expert at the Terrorism Research Center.
The II International Counterterrorism Congress will gather hundreds of participants, including representatives from academic institutions, expert organizations, security agencies, the safety and security sector, public utility facilities, and critical infrastructure. The agenda will feature discussions on various topics, including:
- the nature and characteristics of terrorism
- terrorist attacks – nature, characteristics, and case studies
- legal foundations of antiterrorism activities
- the institutional dimension of antiterrorism activities
- prevention and preparedness in antiterrorism activities
- response and recovery in antiterrorism activities
- counterterrorism activities.
This year’s edition of the Congress held in an international format, will be an exceptional opportunity for exchanging experiences, deepening knowledge, and building international cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
