Collegium Civitas is proud to announce the establishment of its new unit, the Centre for Disinformation Research. Under the leadership of Grzegorz Rzeczkowski, the Centre will focus on researching disinformation, particularly within social media, and educating the public about the associated risks.

In addition to its research efforts, the Centre for Disinformation Research will develop strategies to counteract disinformation and collaborate with research institutions and non-governmental organizations both in Poland and internationally. The primary expert at the Centre is Anna Mierzyńska, a social media analyst specializing in disinformation research and a columnist for Oko.press.

“Disinformation is one of the most serious threats to modern societies. Our mission is not only to study this phenomenon but also to educate the public and develop effective countermeasures,” emphasizes Grzegorz Rzeczkowski, director of the Centre.
