In May Collegium Civitas was visited by Dr Ciro Alfonso Serna Mendoza representing our partner university in Manizales, Colombia. Dr Mendoza visited Collegium Civitas under the EU funded Erasmus+ programme. He is an expert in economy and international relations and gave a series of lectures on topics relating to sustainability and security studies.

In addition, Dr Mendoza met with Collegium Civitas representatives and the leadership of the Latin America and Carraibean Research Center – Prof. Katarzyna Dembicz and Dr. Piotr Łaciński. The visit was also an opportunity to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation between both universities.

“We look forward to further develop our enhanced cooperation with Colombian academia. During the pandemic the activities were limited to webinars and online meetings, we are happy that we could finally host a visiting professor from Colombia” – says Dr Katarzyna Maniszewska, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Collegium Civitas.
