We are proud to announce the publication of a significant research report by the Collegium Civitas lecturers: Grzegorz Rzeczkowski, Dr. Przemysław Witkowski, and Dr. Dr. Roland Zarzycki. The article, published in the book “Dezinformacja w czasach kryzysu” (“Disinformation in Times of Crisis”), edited by Dr. Karina Stasiuk-Krajewska and Dr. Michał Wenzel from SWPS University is available in English and Polish. The whole book is published in Polish.
The report, titled “Analysis of the narrative of right-wing populist anti-establishment movements on social media in relation to vaccination and the war in Ukraine (in a geopolitical context)”, delves into the intricate narratives and disinformation strategies employed by right-wing populist movements in Poland.
The book “Dezinformacja w czasach kryzysu” (“Disinformation in Times of Crisis”) is a part of an international project co-funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Education and Science. Our lecturers’ rigorous analysis reveals how right-wing populist narratives influence social attitudes and political perceptions. The study highlights the critical role of social media in disseminating disinformation and provides valuable insights into the ideological, discursive, and strategic elements of these movements.
The publication was prepared within the framework of the Central European Digital Media Observatory (CEDMO), an international multidisciplinary project supported by the European Commission under the CEF-TC-2020-2 call (European Digital Media Observatory). The CEDMO consortium, led by Charles University (Czech Republic), includes eight partners and four subcontractors. The project benefits from a diverse team comprising researchers from the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences, in collaboration with journalists and fact-checking specialists.
We invite you to explore the full report to gain a deeper understanding of this pressing issue and commend our lecturers for their outstanding contribution to the field of political science and international relations.
