We are pleased to announce that Ms. Katarzyna Anna Przybyła, a lecturer at Collegium Civitas, will participate in the Aurora International Peace Conference 2025. The conference, themed “The Role of Higher Education in Peacebuilding”, will take place from February 17 to 21, 2025, at the University of Innsbruck.
Ms. Przybyła will deliver a lecture titled “Teaching Peace in a ‘Border’ Country: Lessons Learned from Introducing Peace and Conflict Studies Courses and Master’s Program in Poland”. Her presentation will shed light on the challenges and achievements of integrating peace and conflict studies into academic curricula in Poland, emphasizing the unique perspectives of a country situated at the crossroads of historical and contemporary geopolitical tensions.
The conference, organized by the Aurora European Universities Alliance in collaboration with several international institutions, serves as a platform for academics, practitioners, and policymakers to explore the transformative role of higher education in fostering peace, conflict prevention, and post-war recovery.
