On 30 September 2019, the inauguration of the 2019/2020 academic year took place at Collegium Civitas. Students took an oath, and the first lecture this academic year was given by the Commissioner for Human Rights, Prof. Adam Bodnar.

Journalists from Indonesia visit Collegium Civitas

Collegium Civitas hosted a meeting with Indonesian journalists and students from Indonesia. The event was organized with the help of the Polish Embassy in Jakarta. The Indonesian students shared their stories and views about studying in Poland. "Warsaw feels like the second home" - they told the journalists.

Professor Rafał Pankowski with lectures in Asia

Rafal Pankowski is a Professor at the our Institute of Sociology of Collegium Civitas in Warsaw and between August and September he conducts a series of lectures for instance at the World Congress of the International Association of Genocide Scholars at the American University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Then, the special lecture 'Right-wing extremism in Europe – a challenge for democracy'  in August, 20 at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. The next seminars will take place in South Korea and Japan at the Unmiversity of Tokyo 'Nationalist Populism in Central Europe: The Case of Poland' .

Cooperation with Xinyang Normal University

Collegium Civitas signed the Memorandum of Understanding and the Agreement on Undergraduates And Postgraduates Exchange Programme with Xinyang Normal University, China. Prof. Li Jun, President of XNU and Prof. Stanisław Mocek, the Rector of Collegium Civitas signed the agreements on July 1st in Warsaw, during XNU delegation’s visit to Poland.
Summer School 2019

Summer School 2019

Between end of May and the beginning of August the Summer School program has been held at Collegium Civitas. 44 students from the U.S. visited Warsaw for five thematic courses: “Security Issues in Central and Eastern Europe”, “CEE: Road to Democracy”, “Terrorism and Hybrid Warfare”, “Between Hitler and Stalin” and “Jewish Heritage”.

Concilium Civitas

Concilium Civitas is a group of social sciences professors from Poland, working at foreign universities. On July 9th and 10th they will meet for the first time in Warsaw to discuss core phenomena and global trends of major significance for Poland and in Poland. “One Minute.2019” (Jedna minuta.2019) – Values in Space

The premiere of the new play by Collegium Civitas Theatre took place on 14 June 2019. The performance entitled “One Minute.2019” directed by Agnieszka Korytkowska was jointly performed by students of Collegium Civitas and the Academy of Fine Arts (ASP). The premiere coincided with the start of Open Academy 2019, an exhibition summarizing the past academic year at the ASP.
