Four years have passed since the death of prof. Edmund Wnuk-Lipiński - one of the originators and the founders of Collegium Civitas, its first President, then Rector and later Honorary Rector of our university.

In 2018 Terrorism Research Center at Collegium Civitas launched a summer internship program, aligned with the Summer School "Security and Society in the Information Age". As result a book was published composed of papers written by American students - participants in the Summer School and by experts cooperating with the Terrorism Research Center.

Collegium Civitas staff, Dr Kerry Longhurst and Mr Mihai Mogildea, continue to work on their NCN-funded project ‘Domestic Barriers to Moldova’s Europeanisation’. The project has found that whilst Moldova is progressing towards a deeper form of association with the European Union, considerable obstacles remain.

On 4th of December Collegium Civitas hosted a delegation from West Nusa Tenggara province in Indonesia. Our President Prof. Jadwiga Koralewicz and the Rector Prof. Stanisław Mocek met with representatives of the Governor’s Office and the Rectors and Vice-Rectors of 5 Indonesian universities. The continuation of the cooperation was discussed.

Collegium Civitas Professor Rafał Pankowski is enhancing the academic cooperation in South-East Asia. This summer Prof. Pankowski was invited to the prestigious Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok as Visiting Professor. Prof. Pankowski visited the university again in November on his way to the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).

Collegium Civitas signed a Memorandum of Understanding Academic and Research Collaboration with Suleyman Demirel University in Kazakhstan. The memorandum opens the way for cooperation in the field of student and faculty exchange, research collaboration as well as joint studies programs.
