In August 2023 Collegium Civitas signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jenderal Achmad Yani University (UNJANI) – one of the leading Indonesian military universities.

The MoU signed by Prof. Hikmahanto Juwana, the Rector of UNJaANI and Dr. Katarzyna Maniszewska, Collegium Civitas Vice-Rector for International Relations, establishes a framework for academic and research collaboration.

The key areas of cooperation include student and faculty exchange, joint publications as well as an exchange of knowledge, ideas, and best practices between the two universities.

Dr. Maniszewska visited UNJANI within the framework of the European Union-funded project “University 4.0 – modern development program of Collegium Civitas”. At UNJANI Dr. Maniszewska (who is an expert at the Terrorism Research Center) held a series of lectures on countering terrorism for faculty, MA and BA students.

“We are happy and proud to be UNJANI’s first partner university in Poland.” – says Dr. Maniszewska. “Collegium Civitas is known for its strong focus on international relations and security issues. Thus, the partnership with UNJANI – the Indonesia Military University was a natural path for us to follow”. – adds Dr. Maniszewska.

UNJANI is an Indonesian National Army university. The institution is committed to being a “Smart Military University” with the aim to provide world-class education with environmental insight through knowledge and technology.

Collegium Civitas is a modern non-state University founded in 1997 by a joint initiative of Professors from the Polish Academy of Sciences. The quality of education in all fields of study is confirmed by positive assessments by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Polish Accreditation Committee. The University has over 100 agreements with partner universities from around the world. The MoU signed with UNJANI Collegium Civitas further strengthens its international outlook.
