Dr. Rafał Trzaskowski, Collegium Civitas lecturer since 2002, entered the second round of the presidential elections in Poland. The current Mayor of Warsaw received - according to exit polls -  30,4% and if this result will be confirmed in the official statement by the Polish Electoral Commission he will face the incumbent President Andrzej Duda in the second round of presidential elections on July 12, 2020. Congratulations!

Collegium Civitas is the first Polish university to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). The MoU outlines the scope of prospective collaboration that includes: training and degree programs in thematic fields such as sustainable development, international security and the rule of law.

We are proud to inform you that a new book by Professor Izabela Wagner, Collegium Civitas lecturer has been published by well-known international publishing house in the social sciences and humanities - Polity. "Bauman: A Biography" is the first comprehensive biography of Bauman’s life and work.

For new students, we have prepared a short guidebook that can help you find your way – especially during the first weeks of studying at Collegium Civitas. You will find there all the useful addresses, working hours of our departments, academic year calendar and some tips on living and studying in Warsaw.

On-line Summer School at Collegium Civitas will be held between July 13 and August 24. The program is composed of two parts: coursework and research internship. Among the topics: hybrid threats, terrorism, COVID-19, cybersecurity, risk management. In result of the program a book will be published containing research papers written by the participants. We invite students with good command of English and strong interest in security issues to apply by June 20.

Collegium Civitas Management student, Ms. Katarzyna Barabasz, is a co-author of the article “Social-media and newspaper reports reveal large-scale meteorological drivers of floods on Sumatra” which has just been published in the prestigious scientific magazine “Nature Communications”. Congratulations!

International Security Studies (ISS) are a specialization under International Relations master’s degree program. ISS, run under the auspices of the Terrorism Research Center, is designed to train future leaders in the field of security. The students will take a close look at various aspects of security, incl. terrorism, cybersecurity, transnational crime, hybrid threats, environmental challenges and the implications of COVID-19 outbreak for international security. During the studies participants will work on their own research papers which will be published!
