Menstrual health and hygiene management should be treated as a social-economic problem with the implication for sustainable health and environment action. We are happy to announce that Katarzyna A. Przybyła, Collegium Civitas lecturer, was appointed to the Legal Language Commission of the Council for the Polish Language (Rada Języka Polskiego) for the term 2023-2026. Mrs. Przybyła will serve on the Council for the second time.

On June 16, Collegium Civitas hosted a lecture by Dr. Sam Potolicchio, Georgetown University. Dr. Potolicchio spoke about "Forecasting & Prediction – necessary skills for the 21st century leadership". The event was organized jointly by the American Councils for International Education, Collegium Civitas, and the Leadership Research Group of the American Studies Center of the University of Warsaw.

In April and May of this year, during his fellowship in the Department of Media and Communications, Dr. Troszyński conducted consultations with students in 3 areas: media coverage of the war in Ukraine, Central European media, and media representations of migration.

The end of the academic year at Collegium Civitas was recently celebrated in a special event held on June 16th. This cherished occasion brought together students, lecturers, and university staff in the beautiful gardens of Dom Polonii, located at 64, Krakowskie Przedmieście Street in Warsaw.

Solemn Graduation of the academic year 2022/2023 took place on June 14. Among the gathered guests, apart from the graduates of Collegium Civitas, there were also their relatives and representatives of the Rector's Team. Rector Stanisław Mocek expressed the hope that the Graduation ceremony will be a symbolic moment of the end of education and the Graduates will remain ambassadors of the University around the world.

Since 2015 Collegium Civitas has been cooperating with SRAS, USA. Together we organize the “Security and Society in the Information Age” program composed of summer school, research internship, and semester/one-year study abroad opportunities. This summer semester Collegium Civitas hosts Kat Lytkowski from Georgetown University. We invite you to listen to the podcast with Kat and SRAS Director Renee Stillings.

The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on academic and research collaboration between University Al-Azhar Indonesia and Collegium Civitas marks a significant milestone in fostering international cooperation between these two institutions. The MoU was signed in May 2023 and will remain in effect until 2028, ensuring a long-term commitment to collaboration.

On Monday, June 5, the ninth edition of the Summer School “Security and Society in the Information Age” was launched at Collegium Civitas. This year our university is hosting 22 students from U.S. universities. The program combines the four-week intensive course on Central Europe & Security Issues with a two-week research internship with the Terrorism Research Center. Designed and launched jointly in 2015 by SRAS (USA) and Collegium Civitas, the summer school program addresses global issues from unique perspectives. The participants also learn about Poland’s rich history and culture.
