The field of sociology (second-cycle studies) at Collegium Civitas won the first place in the latest ELA ranking (Polish Graduate Tracking System), published at https://ela.nauka.gov.pl. First degree studies in the field of sociology were also on the podium, taking 3rd place. The ELA ranking is a significant and reliable system for monitoring the economic situation of graduates on the labor market.

According to the latest "Collegium Civitas Student Satisfaction Survey for the 2022-2023 academic year," CC's Centre for Strategic Analysis prepared, 90% of students are satisfied with studying at Collegium Civitas. Students appreciated both the high quality of education, the professional work of the administration and the friendly atmosphere surrounding the education process. 80% have a favourable view of student life.

Between June 25 and July 1, the 20th ISA World Congress of Sociology took place in Melbourne, Australia. Collegium Civitas was represented by Dr Katarzyna Iwińska, Dr Marek Troszyński and Dr Dr Roland Zarzycki. In addition, Dr Jacek Bieliński co-authored a paper presented during the Congress. 

The European Commission selected Collegium Civitas as one of the Erasmus Without Papers (EWP) Champions. The EWP Champions is an important initiative to work with the European Commission on shaping the discussions and developments around EWP in the European higher education community.

New book on radicalization has just been published by Collegium Civitas. The collection of papers was edited by Prof. Paweł Kuczyński. In Poland, like everywhere radicalization process begins in the heads but also begins online. It is like a viral disease which finds growth conditions in places affected by severe consequences of inflation, pandemic and the war in Ukraine.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Collegium Civitas and RK University in June 2023 establishes a framework for academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The document, signed by Dr. Amit Lathigara, Vice Chancellor of RK University, and Dr. Katarzyna Maniszewska, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Collegium Civitas, signifies the commitment to fostering a cooperative relationship and outlines the areas of collaboration.

For the fourth consecutive year, Collegium Civitas' Sociology major has secured the top spot in the prestigious Perspektywy 2023 ranking of non-public universities in Poland. The International Relations programme has also maintained its third place ranking.

Menstrual health and hygiene management should be treated as a social-economic problem with the implication for sustainable health and environment action. Pilot study by Collegium Civitas lecturer Dr. Omoye Akhagba aims to find out the living conditions of refugees in the Polish camps and how they maintain their menstrual hygiene while these camps.  Listen to the podcast "Menstruation poverty in Polish refugee camps" with Dr. Omoye Akhagba, hosted by a Collegium Civitas student, Khushi Dhomne.

We are happy to announce that Katarzyna A. Przybyła, Collegium Civitas lecturer, was appointed to the Legal Language Commission of the Council for the Polish Language (Rada Języka Polskiego) for the term 2023-2026. Mrs. Przybyła will serve on the Council for the second time.

On June 16, Collegium Civitas hosted a lecture by Dr. Sam Potolicchio, Georgetown University. Dr. Potolicchio spoke about "Forecasting & Prediction – necessary skills for the 21st century leadership". The event was organized jointly by the American Councils for International Education, Collegium Civitas, and the Leadership Research Group of the American Studies Center of the University of Warsaw.
