April 19, 2023 marks the 80th Anniversary of the Ghetto Uprising - when the Jews of Warsaw took up an armed struggle against the occupying Nazi Germans. On that day, they showed their bravery amidst no hope for victory. Facing annihilation, they chose to die with dignity. We invite you to learn more about the history of the Uprising by reading the article prepared by Collegium Civitas student Ms. Kinga Boćkowska.

Between March 17th and 22nd, 2023, Collegium Civitas participated in an educational mission in Argentina and Brazil. The visit was organized by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). Collegium Civitas was represented by Maciej Krzyczkowski, Head of International Cooperation and Promotion, and Ilona Głowacka, International Recruitment and Promotion Senior Specialist.

The fifth volume of the academic book series “Security and Society in the Information Age” has just been published. The volume brings together a series of research papers by participants in the "Security and Society in the Information Age" summer school program held at Collegium Civitas.

On March 24 the Ambassadors to Poland of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam met at Collegium Civitas for the "ASEAN-EU Trade & Economic Cooperation" seminar.

Between 15 and 18 of March Dr Agnieszka Nitza-Makowska, Collegium Civitas lecturer participated in the prestigious International Studies Association conference in Montreal, Canada. Dr Nitza-Makowska presented the outcomes of her research on “India and the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor”.

Between 20 and 24 of March 2023 Collegium Civitas was visited by Prof. Madina Kenzhegaranova from SDU university, Kazakhstan. The visit was organized under the Erasmus+ programme. Prof. Kenzhegaranova conducted a series of lectures on negotiations and intercultural management.  

Between 13 and 16 of March 2023 Collegium Civitas was visited by Prof. Halim Nezihoglu from SDU university, Kazakhstan. The visit was organized under the Erasmus+ programme. At Collegium Civitas Prof. Nezihoglu conducted classes on the geopolitics in Central Asia and issues relating to migrations.

The third issue of the biannual journal “Terrorism – studies, analyses, prevention” published by the Polish Internal Security Agency is available online. Among the members of the Academic Editor Board of the journal is Dr Paulina Piasecka, Director of the Terrorism Research Center (TRC), and the reviewers team includes Dr Katarzyna Maniszewska, TRC expert and Vice-Rector for International Relations.

In April 2023 the 11th edition of the training “Internationalization of Higher Education” will take place. The programme is organized by Collegium Civitas in cooperation with the Center for Polish Education in Kiev. Since 2018 over 900 faculty members from Ukrainian universities have already participated in the programme.
