Falling Walls Lab competition

Join an international network of over a thousand entrepreneurial, dynamic scientists, PhD students and innovators from 75 countries. Take three minutes to explain your idea on how to break down an existing wall – in science, technology, or society. Convince the jury with your idea and go to the Final in Berlin. Apply by 30th June. It’ll be worth it!

Workshop: "Facing intersectional discrimination: towards multicultural models of resistance"

Welcome Point invites Collegium Civitas students to participate in an intercultural workshop. The workshop will be held on June 27 at the university (10th floor, room 1027). Applications are accepted until June 23, 2022, by noon.

“(Europe’s) Migrations and the Media” – a hybrid seminar in project MAD

This one-day seminar organised by Department of Media and Communications (LSE), Collegium Civitas and Polis (LSE) explores political and media discourses of forced migration in Europe in the contexts of the war in Ukraine and the earlier ‘refugee crisis.’ You can join us online as well.

Launch of the book – online meeting

We invite you to the online launch of the book “Simmel and Beyond. The Contemporary Relevance of Simmel’s Thought” (Routledge 2022) edited by Pedro Caetano and Maria Manuela Mendes. Dr Barbara Markowska-Marczak is the author of one chapter of the book.

We cordially invite Collegium Civitas academic community to join the webinar “Medio Ambiente y Violencia en Colombia" which will take place on May 18 by Dr. Ciro Alfonso Serna Mendoza from the University of Manizales. The webinar will be held in Spanish. Dr. Ciro Alfonso Serna Mendoza will be visiting Collegium Civitas within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.

Summer School: Security and Society in the Information Age

Between June and July the online Summer School will be hosted by Collegium Civitas combining the two-week intensive course "Central Europe & Security Issues" with a four-week research internship with the Terrorism Research Center. Enrollment deadline is May 15.

War in Ukraine and Humanitarian Crisis

On April 7 the international conference “Humanitarian Action. War in Ukraine and Humanitarian Crisis”  will be held online. One of the speakers is Dr Dr Roland Zarzycki, Collegium Civitas Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and an activist. The conference is organized by ISCTE university, Lisbon, Portugal.
