Embarking on enriching journeys as part of the Erasmus Exchange program, our colleagues Professor Anna Cieślewska, Collegium Civitas lecturer, and Ms. Dobrosława Choryńska-Chudy, Head of the Academic Career Office, seized invaluable opportunities for professional growth and cultural enrichment.

Professor Anna Cieślewska had the honor of lecturing at Yaşar University in Turkey, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Gökay ÖZERİM. Located in Izmir, Yaşar University, an English-language private institution, provided a vibrant platform for Professor Cieślewska’s lectures on Islam in the post-Soviet area. From religious transfers of migrants to Soviet policy on Islam and Islamic renewal, Professor Cieślewska delved into diverse topics, enriching the academic discourse. Furthermore, she had the opportunity to attend a hybrid panel organized by the UNESCO Chair on International Migration, shedding light on the politics of migration governance and control. During the Erasmus+ exchange, Professor Cieślewska gained new insights into migration issues and geopolitics, and established contacts for potential further academic collaborations.

Ms. Dobrosława Choryńska-Chudy participated in a weekly training program titled “Career Centers Know-How” at the European Academy of Innovation. Throughout the program, she found herself immersed in a world of inspiration. From insightful discussions with students to exploring design thinking and coaching methodologies, every moment was enriching. Moreover, the cultural tapestry of Romania, with its diverse history, left a profound impact, especially in the picturesque city of Timisoara, heralded as the birthplace of freedom for Romania. Networking with career offices from universities across Europe proved invaluable, fostering exchanges of experiences and forging lasting connections.

These Erasmus exchanges exemplify Collegium Civitas’ commitment to fostering international collaboration, enriching experiences, and broadening horizons for its faculty and staff.
