COVID-19: restrictions extended

On December 7 the Minister of Health announced new covid-19 related restrictions which will be introduced in Poland starting on Monday, December 15.

The new regulations include:

  • people living in the same household with a person with COVID-19 will have to take mandatory tests, regardless if they are vaccinated or not
  • restrictions on the number of people allowed in places like restaurants, theatres, cinemas, hotels, churches, swimming pools, aquaparks, sports venues, reducing the limit to 30% of full capacity (not counting people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19).
  • eating food in cinemas will be banned
  • discos, clubs, and facilities offering dancing spaces will be closed – with exception of December 31 and January 1 – allowed to a maximum of 100 guests (not counting people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19).
  • members of three professions – medics, teachers, and all uniformed services – will have a duty to get vaccinated starting March 1

Remember to cover your mouth and nose with a medical mask or cloth mask in public places at all times!
