Warsaw declared a “red zone”. New restrictions

In order to curb the increasing spread of COVID-19 in Poland, today the Prime Minister announced new restrictions, staring on October 17 (Saturday). Please note that Warsaw was declared a “red zone”.

The restrictions include:

  • Gatherings up to 10 people max. allowed
  • Religious gatherings with social distance: 1 person per 7 m2
  • Limit of ppl in shopping malls and stores – 5 ppl per cash counter
  • Passengers limit in in public transport: half of seats or 30% of all seats and standing places taken together
  • Obligatory to cover the mouth and nose in public places (incl. outdoors)
  • Bars, restaurants can be open only between 6 AM and 9 PM (after that take away possible)
  • Gyms, pools, aquaparks – not allowed
  • Cultural events and cinemas with a 25% occupancy limit
  • At shops, malls the hours between 10 am and 12 pm are for senior citizens only
