For the fourth consecutive year, Collegium Civitas’ Sociology major has secured the top spot in the prestigious Perspektywy 2023 ranking of non-public universities in Poland. The International Relations programme has also maintained its third place ranking.

The Perspektywy Ranking of Higher Education Institutions was established in 2000 to serve as a resource for prospective university students seeking guidance in choosing the right university and field of study. In light of the rapid changes occurring in our society, such as technological advancements, socio-political shifts and economic changes, this year’s ranking holds even greater significance for soon-to-be students. Notably, for the first time, the evaluation of universities’ scientific activities from 2017 to 2021 has been factored into the rankings.

“We are delighted to see both our Sociology and International Relations majors leading the list of non-public universities in Poland, with first and third place, respectively. These two programmes represent the pinnacle of our academic offerings and were highly esteemed by the Polish Accreditation Committee last year also,” emphasizes Professor Stanisław Mocek, the Rector of Collegium Civitas, adding that “Collegium Civitas also achieved a remarkable 4th place in the ‘Graduate on the Labour Market’ category and 5th place in the ‘Internationalization’ category among non-public universities in Poland.”

The Sociology major at Collegium Civitas has now received the distinction of being the best major among non-public universities in Poland for the fourth time. Importantly, in the ranking of majors of all universities in Poland (public and non-public), it placed just below the podium, taking 4th place—a remarkable jump of six places.

Collegium Civitas has maintained – as in previous years – its position in the top ten non-public universities in Poland. With over 200 non-public universities currently in existence, our university’s seventh place ranking is an exceptional achievement.

Perspektywy’s Ranking of Higher Education Institutions encompasses four rankings that complement each other:

  • Ranking of Academic Universities, encompassing all higher education institutions in the country (excluding art schools) with the authority to confer doctoral degrees;
  • Ranking of Non-Public Universities, evaluating universities offering at least Master’s level programmes;
  • Ranking of Public Academies of Social Sciences and Vocational Institutions;
  • Ranking of Majors, this year comprising 74 majors or groups of majors offered at academic universities.
