We are pleased to announce the latest scholarly contributions by our Vice Rector for Scientific Research, Prof. Michał Szostak, in collaboration with other esteemed faculty members from Collegium Civitas, including Prof. Małgorzata Baran and Dr. Muhammad Kamran. These works explore various contemporary issues in management, digitalization, and consumer behavior, reflecting the diverse research interests and expertise within our academic community.

Chapter in “Humanistic Management in the Gig Economy: Dignity, Fairness and Care”
Prof. Michał Szostak  has authored a thought-provoking chapter titled Balancing Fairness and Care Through an Aesthetic Lens in Humanistic Management in the Gig Economy. This work explores how integrating aesthetics into humanistic management within the gig economy can promote justice, fairness, and care for gig workers, enhancing trust and deepening interactions between workers, platforms, and consumers by emphasizing the importance of beauty, harmony, and meaningful experiences. The chapter is featured in the book Humanistic Management in the Gig Economy: Dignity, Fairness and Care, published by Palgrave Macmillan.

Article in “Foresight”
In collaboration with Dr. Muhammad Kamran and other scholars, Prof. Michał Szostak has contributed to an insightful article published in the journal Foresight. This article, titled Telepresence, social presence and involvement in consumer’s intention to buy apparels through an interplay of consumer brand engagement, explores how telepresence, social presence, and consumer involvement positively influence purchase intentions, mediated by consumer brand engagement. It offers valuable insights for marketers to enhance customer involvement in brand campaigns.

Article in “Humanities and Social Sciences”
Prof. Michał Szostak, in collaboration with Prof. Małgorzata Baran and other researcher, has also published an article in Humanities and Social Sciences. This publication, titled Influence of digitalization on musical arts consumers’ behaviours during the COVID-19 pandemic: art management from a generational perspective, examines how the digitalization of musical arts during the COVID-19 pandemic affects the perceived quality of aesthetic experiences, revealing that generational differences significantly influence how consumers assess the quality of in-person versus digital participation.
