Polish-American Summer School 2023

Between June 3 - July 14, 2023 the Summer School “Security and Society in the Information Age” will be held. Enrollment deadline is March 1. Designed and launched jointly by SRAS (USA) and Collegium Civitas, the summer school program addresses global issues from unique perspectives. It combines the four-week intensive course on security issues with an optional two-week research internship with the Terrorism Research Center.

The journal “Humanities and Social Sciences Communications” has published a collection of papers summarizing the results of research from the international MAD project. The editors of the collection are Dr. Monika Gabriela Bartoszewicz and Dr. Marek Troszyński, the project leader.

Quality assessment by the Ministry of Education and Science: Collegium Civitas confirmed as academic institution

The Minister of Education and Science has awarded Collegium Civitas with the B+ scientific categories in the disciplines of sociological sciences and politics and administration. B+ is one of the highest categories and means not only that Collegium Civitas can continue providing study programmes in Polish and English, but also e.g. can organize a Ph.D. programme, also award Ph.D. with habilitation.

The 2022 edition of the Security and Society Summer School has just finished. The program run by Collegium Civitas in cooperation with SRAS (USA) was conducted in online format, combining the two-weeks intensive course Central Europe & Security Issues with a four-week research internship with the Terrorism Research Center. During the internship the participants from American universities worked on their own research projects.

In July the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dr Dr Roland Zarzycki took part in the “Problem Solving & Decision Making” masterclass course, which was carried out in Palermo within the Erasmus + mobility framework.  Apart from the opportunity to improve competences, the training was a chance to exchange experiences and establish contacts with educators from other countries.
