As part of the MAD project a new paper “Securitising the future: Dystopian migration discourses in Poland and the Czech Republic” has just been published in the prestigious journal “Futures” by Elsevier. The paper is authored by Dr Monika Bartoszewicz, Dr Otto Eibl, and Dr Magdalena El Ghamari, Collegium Civitas.  

Between June and July 2022 the 8th edition of the training “Internationalisation of Higher Education” was held. Over 70 representatives of Ukrainian universities took part in the programme. “In these challenging times it is crucial to show our Ukrainian partners and friends that they can count on us” – says Ms. Ilona Głowacka, Coordinator of the training programme, Collegium Civitas.

At the beginning of June 2022, Collegium Civitas delegation visited our partner university in Barcelona - Universitat Abat Oliba CEU - under the EU funded Erasmus+ programme. Universitat Abat Oliba CEU is an important partner university of Collegium Civitas and one of the favorite exchange destinations for our students.

Like every year, the Centre for Strategic Analysis at Collegium Civitas presented the results of surveys evaluating, among others, the Students’ level of satisfaction with studying, satisfaction with distance learning, and the sense of pride in belonging to the CC academic community.

On Friday, June 10, the Academic Year Closing Ceremony was held for the 25th time in the history of Collegium Civitas. In the gardens of Dom Polonii at Krakowskie Przedmieście 64, representatives of the entire University community gathered to sum up the passing nine months.

In April 2022 Dr Agnieszka Nitza-Makowska, Collegium Civitas, visited the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies at the University of Tartu under the EU funded Erasmus+ programme. Dr Nitza-Makowska was involved in numerous teaching activities with lectures on Pakistan, China and the EU.

This one-day seminar organised by Department of Media and Communications (LSE), Collegium Civitas and Polis (LSE) explores political and media discourses of forced migration in Europe in the contexts of the war in Ukraine and the earlier ‘refugee crisis.’ You can join us online as well.
