Consent from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for Collegium Civitas to launch 2nd degree studies in Management
We are glad to announce that the Ministry of Science and Higher Education has issued a positive decision and allowed Collegium Civitas to start 2nd degree practical Management studies.
The positive decision follows an assessment conducted by the Polish Accreditation Committee and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Having obtained an opinion from the Polish Accreditation Committee concerning Collegium Civitas’s fulfillment of conditions for conducting studies of a specific course, level and profile, on 13th October 2020, the Minister of Science and Higher Education issued a positive decision concerning the launch of 2nd degree Management course at Collegium Civitas. The course will start in the next academic year 2021/2022.
“Management is a key skill in today’s world. We are starting our 2nd degree Management course as a response to the labour market’s demand for highly qualified specialists in this area. We are going to start the course by opening two future-oriented specialisations: Communication management and design thinking and Project and process management,” says CC Prof. Małgorzata Baran, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Strategic Development at Collegium Civitas and Head of Management Department. “Starting Master studies in Management is a natural consequence of successfully carried out 1st degree studies. The fifth year of Bachelors’s studies in Management, unwavering interest in this educational offer, and the high satisfaction rate in students make it clear to us that our strategy has proved successful,” adds prof. Małgorzata Baran.
Management at Collegium Civitas
At Collegium Civitas, we teach through practice. Lectures and classes are conducted by trade experts and practitioners, also from our partner institutions. An important element of the studies are internships in companies, which allow students to have a first-hand experience of working in a business or an institution, and to carry out their first ever tasks ordered to them by their managers.
In the 2019/2020 academic year, we also started dual studies, in which 1/3 of classes are held at the college, 1/3 at the employers’ seats, and 1/3 are paid traineeships in partner companies belonging to IAB. This approach allows the students of Collegium Civitas to develop professionally already during their studies.
Our actions in the scope of educating in the area of Management have been awarded the “Studies with a future” certificate by the Foundation of Development of Education and Higher Education for “E-marketing and e-commerce” specialisation as well as “Neuromanagement” post-graduate studies, as well as the prestigious “Journey to Changemaker” certificate from the international organisation Ashoka. Thus, as the second college in Poland, we have joined the largest global network of entrepreneurial universities.
