PROFESSOR MICHAŁ SZOSTAK APPOINTED NEW VICE-RECTOR FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

We are pleased to formally announce the appointment of Professor Michał Szostak as the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research at Collegium Civitas. Professor Szostak also serves as the Head of the Institute for Management Research at Collegium Civitas and holds the position of Associate Professor (Doctor habilitated) specializing in management within the realm of social sciences.

A special issue of Peace Review, edited by Katarzyna Anna Przybyła

Katarzyna Anna Przybyła, lecturer at Collegium Civitas, is a co-editor (alongside Maureen P. Flaherty from the University of Manitoba in Canada) of the latest issue of the international journal "Peace Review," published by Taylor and Francis. Issue 36/1 (2024) is entirely dedicated to the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the ongoing war. Katarzyna A. Przybyła is also the author of two articles included in it.

April 19, 2024 marks the 81st Anniversary of the Ghetto Uprising – when the Jews of Warsaw took up an armed struggle against the occupying Nazi Germans. On that day, they showed their bravery amidst no hope for victory. Facing annihilation, they chose to die with dignity. In April 2024, Collegium Civitas signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Kenzhegali Sagadiev University of International Business (UIB) in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The MoU is a follow-up on the academic and research collaboration started by our lecturer, Mrs. Katarzyna Skiert-Andrzejuk.

On April 3rd-4th Dr. Dr. Roland Zarzycki, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Collegium Civitas participated in a study visit at the University of Utrecht. During his visit, Dr. Dr. Zarzycki took an active part in discussions organized by the International Association of Universities (IAU), which Collegium Civitas is a member of. The meetings were devoted to the Open Science movement.
