Nowa Polityka Wschodnia is co-published by Civitas University and Adam Marszałek Publishing House.

Nowa Polityka Wschodnia (The New Eastern Policy) is a prestigious interdisciplinary quarterly recognized by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education on its list of ranked journals since 2013. The journal is indexed in major international and national databases, including BazHum, CEEOL, CEJSH, Electronic Journals Library, Google Scholar, Index Copernicus, and POL-Index (PBN).

Created on the initiative of researchers specializing in the broadly understood East, the journal encompasses studies on the countries of the former Soviet Union, as well as the Near and Far East.

Nowa Polityka Wschodnia serves as an open platform for presenting research findings and scholarly discussions by authors representing diverse disciplines, including:

  • political and administrative sciences,
  • security studies,
  • sociology,
  • history,
  • culture and religion,
  • economics and finance.

The journal’s thematic sections — Politics, Security, Culture and Society, History, Economy, and Migration — are coordinated by independent editorial teams, each focusing on one or more related disciplines. Submitted manuscripts undergo a multi-stage evaluation process, including an external double-blind peer review, ensuring the highest academic standards. The Scientific Council, composed largely of international experts, oversees the quality of published content.

All current and archived issues are available in open access on the Adam Marszałek Publishing House online platform. The editors welcome submissions from researchers affiliated with both domestic and international academic institutions.

The journal publishes articles in Polish, English, and Russian. There are no article processing or submission charges (APCs). Nowa Polityka Wschodnia also implements a digital archiving policy using POL-index.
