The Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America (PIASA) is pleased to announce a call for nominations for its inaugural Karol Pilarczyk Foundation Award to Promote Democracy and the Rule of Law. We cordially invite Collegium Civitas community to submit nominations for the Award.

A year ago, the Russian Federation’s armed forces attacked Ukraine. We express our unwavering solidarity with all our students, employees and their families from Ukraine and share the pain of the entire Ukrainian nation which continues to show extraordinary heroism and dedication in the fight for freedom.

Collegium Civitas students participated in the preparation and recording of two podcasts as part of the Debating Europe: Internal and External Dynamics of European Integration (DEBUE) project led by Dr Kerry Longhurst.

During the meetings, you will have the opportunity to meet the University's Rector's Team, talk to the representatives of various administration departments, such as the Academic Career Office, Welcome Point, Student Affairs Office or the International Cooperation and Promotion Office.

Dr Paulina Piasecka, Director of the Terroris Research Center at Collegium Civitas was chosen to be a member of the Radicalisation Awareness Network Policy Support (RAN PS) European Research Community on Radicalisation (ERCOR) Researchers’ Directory, which is funded by the EU Commission.

It is with great sadness that we have learned the news of the tragic earthquake in Türkiye and Syria. We express our sincerest condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and all affected by the tragic events.

We invite you to read the annual journal “Zoon Politikon” published by Collegium Civitas. The papers collected in the latest issue are devoted to topics related to the Digital Society. The authors of the papers looked at various aspects and effects of progressive technological changes.

On February 03, 2023, Collegium Civitas was visited by H.E. Urasa Mongkolnavin, the Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to Poland. The visit was an opportunity to discuss collaboration in the field of research, teaching and exchange program between Polish and Thai academia.

It is our great pleasure to inform you that Ms. Alina Palamarchuk, an International Relations student at Collegium Civitas (master's degree studies), the President of the Student Council, who is always supporting our students and participates in many activities, was elected the Plenipotentiary of the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland (PSRP) for the Cooperation with Ukraine.

In December 2022 Dr Marta Sałkowska visited the Sociology Department of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (WWU), Germany within the Erasmus + Teaching Mobility framework. Dr Sałkowska gave a series of lectures on her research in sociology and pedagogy.
