Over 60% of Britons feel responsible for environmental degradation

64% of men and 60% of women declare they feel personal responsibility for curbing their negative impact on the environment. Practical measures rarely follow this awareness, though. Very few financially support ecology-focused organizations, engage in their activities, and attempt to influence the authorities on pro-environmental issues, suggests research conducted by the PASSION consortium incorporating six European universities, including University of Northampton and Collegium Civitas.

University 4.0

Collegium Civitas is conducting an innovative project “University 4.0 – modern development program of Collegium Civitas” co-funded by the European Union under the European Social Fund. Within the framework of the project various activities are being held aimed at improving staff competencies and the international outlook of our university. One of the components of the project are the “teaching internships”. Our lecturers have the opportunity to engage in teaching at partner universities world-wide.

Dr Katarzyna Maniszewska, Vice-Rector for International Relations visited partner universities in Indonesia. Dr Maniszewska held a series of lectures on security issues at Politeknik Negeri Malang and participated in the international seminar “Economic Consequences of Terrorism” at University of Mataram. During the visit Memorandums of Agreement were signed with both universities.

Career Center CC will run under the new name Academic Careers Office (ACO)

From January 1, 2023, Career Center Collegium Civitas will run under the new name Academic Careers Office (ACO) at Collegium Civitas. The change is not only a new name for the unit but most of all its goal is to increase emphasis on connecting the academic world with business. New ACO will continue to operate as the platform for communication and meetings for Students and Graduates with employees.

Dr Dr Roland Zarzycki participated in “Failure in Science” conference

On December 12th-14th Dr Dr Roland Zarzycki participated in "Failure in Science" conference in Hannover, meant to strengthen international networks conducting research on failure and the role it plays both in society and science in particular. The thematic week included classical presentations and panels as well as experiments such as a nonconventional F*** up Tales event, where participants shared and analyzed their personal stories of failing in science.
