Between October 24 and 29th Dr. Paulina Piasecka, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, visited Vietnam National University in Hanoi . This visit within the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility program framework strengthened ties between the two institutions and explored exciting avenues for future collaboration.
Vietnam National University (VNU), founded in 1945 as a successor to the University of Indochina (1906), holds a distinguished position in Vietnam’s higher education landscape. As one of the country’s leading universities, VNU enjoys high autonomy and reports directly to the Prime Minister.
During her visit, Dr. Piasecka delivered lectures on cybersecurity, hybrid and asymmetric threats, and emerging threats in the international environment. Her expertise was well-received by the VNU community.
Furthermore, Dr. Piasecka engaged in productive meetings with Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Anh Tu, Vice-Rector of VNU, and Dr. Truong Thu Ha from the Faculty of Development Economics. These discussions focused on potential collaborations, including the exciting prospect of establishing a dual-diploma Master’s program.
This visit marks a significant step towards a dynamic partnership between Collegium Civitas and Vietnam National University. Both institutions are eager to pursue the initiatives discussed and foster a mutually beneficial relationship that advances academic excellence and international cooperation.
In addition, Dr. Piasecka actively participated in the “Study in Europe 2024” events in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (October 19-20, 2024) and Erasmus+ Day in Hanoi (October 22-23, 2024). These events, part of The European Higher Education Week organized by the EU Delegation to Vietnam and EU Member States, provided a valuable platform to promote European educational opportunities. Dr. Piasecka met with representatives from the Polish Embassy in Hanoi to further enhance collaboration. These discussions centered on the promising opportunities and potential challenges in developing Polish-Vietnamese educational cooperation.
